A note from Kean:

Dear Visitor & Investor,

The financial markets are ever evolving and changing, and as we enter into the twenty first century, the world faces more challenges and various headwinds that could alter the dynamic landscape of the twentieth century forever. However, Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr once wrote in his journal: “plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose,” translating to: the more it changes, the more it’s the same thing.

I personally believe that there are some enduring lessons from history that can be learnt, because humans have the power to change everything around them except their own fundamental condition. This principle is manifested frequently in the financial markets, and investors ought to be aware of it.

You might ask then: what is the next step?

Isaac Newton once claimed that the secret of his success was actually simple: He stood on the shoulders of giants. In the investing world, there are many giants out there who have done the heavy lifting for many of us – leaving us with much investment wisdom for us to learn.

I have travelled through the passage of time through the pages of history, and I am still on my journey of investing and trading. Along the way, I have distilled what I learnt into bite size lessons and placed them here for everyone’s use.

Whether you are searching for an investment strategy to beat the markets, working for Alpha, or are looking for advice on personal finance and money management from successful investors – this place is for your utilization and serves as a platform for your own further research. I truly hope you will find this site useful!

Yours Sincerely,

Kean Chan
